Lori Greiner Returns to Bobby Flay on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET
Lori Greiner is back on bobby flay after a broken wrist cut short her last judging appearance, and her return gives the episode a sharper edge than a standard crossover. The Shark Tank investor appears in this week’s Beat Bobby Flay installment, titled “Shark Bait,” with Scott Conant beside her.
Thursday at 6 p.m. ET is the payoff point. Food Network set the episode with Derrell Smith and Chris Arellanes competing against each other, then sending the winner into the arena with a signature dish while Flay tries to build his own version around it.
Greiner’s return after the fall
Greiner said, “I broke my wrist. I went flying backwards.” That injury ended her earlier appearance before she could reach the arena, which made this comeback feel less like a routine guest spot and more like a resumed assignment.
Flay greeted her with, “Last time, you didn’t make it to the arena.” He also set the tone with, “I’m ready to put in 100 percent tonight but I’m sure I’m not going to get a buy in from these two.”
Scott Conant joins the panel
Conant’s presence turns the episode into a two-judge setup, and Food Network’s teaser leaned into that by writing, “The stakes feel a little higher when a shark is watching. Lori Greiner and Scott Conant are bringing sharp instincts and even sharper critiques to the ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ kitchen this week.”
Conant’s own line was even simpler: “We are going to try and beat you.” He also sharpened the joke in a Facebook reel with, “Eat It.” and “Just eat it Bobby, just eat it.”
‘Shark Bait’ lands Thursday
The episode title, “Shark Bait,” does the branding work here. Greiner is known for Shark Tank, and Beat Bobby Flay is a long-running Food Network competition, so the crossover is built around recognition on both sides rather than a one-off guest nod.
That makes this hour more than a novelty booking. If you care about how Food Network packages its competition shows, this is the kind of guest-judge return that gives the format a little extra lift without changing the rules: two chefs fight through the opening round, one gets the shot at Flay, and the judges decide whether his spin lands better than the original.
For viewers, the only practical step is simple: catch it Thursday at 6 p.m. ET if you want to see whether Greiner’s return changes the room after the wrist injury ended the first run early.
