Princess Beatrice Returns in Public on April 30 Taxi Sighting

Princess Beatrice made a rare public appearance on April 30, appearing at Olivia Buckingham’s baby shower before being seen loading luggage into a London taxi. The sighting came after she had not been seen in public since March, putting her back in view after weeks of a lower profile.

Olivia Buckingham’s baby shower

Olivia Buckingham, Beatrice’s stylist and close friend, shared photos from the shower on Instagram on Thursday, and one of them carried the line “all the love and incredible support from my friends and family near and far.” That makes the appearance more than a quick stop-in: Beatrice showed up for a private milestone in Buckingham’s circle, then left with enough luggage to suggest she was moving on immediately afterward.

April 30 in London

A video shared by the Daily Mail showed Beatrice wheeling a personalized Louis Vuitton suitcase and two duffel bags into a waiting London taxi on April 30. She was dressed in a black floral Hill House Home midi skirt, a simple black crewneck sweater, and Mary Jane flats as she got into the cab.

That specific departure matters because it fixed the day and the setting. After a March date night with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, this was the first public sighting tied to a dated outing, and it places her back in circulation without turning the moment into a formal royal appearance.

Low profile since February

Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have avoided public events since their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly sharing confidential documents with Jeffrey Epstein. Neither sister has been accused of any wrongdoing, and they also skipped Easter services with the Royal Family in April. The King has said his nieces are welcome to attend family events in the future.

For now, the clearest read is simple: Beatrice is reappearing selectively, not loudly, and she is doing it in settings that keep her close to friends rather than formal royal stages. That is the kind of return that suggests caution, not withdrawal.
