Pearl Abyss Adds Rematches, Re-Blockades in Crimson Desert Update 1.05.00

Pearl Abyss released crimson desert update 1.05.00 on PS5, adding Rematches and Re-Blockades to the game’s latest patch. The update lets players revisit boss encounters and strongholds they have already cleared, then change how often those options appear in the settings.

Rematches work by letting players light a lantern at the site of a boss encounter they have already overcome, bringing the enemy back for another round. Players can face the boss as it appeared in the campaign or take on an upgraded version that matches their stats.

The same update adds Re-Blockades, which let players conquer strongholds again once certain requirements have been met. Players can also toggle how often a stronghold offers the Re-Blockade option in the settings, giving them control over how often that repeat challenge appears.

Before the patch, Pearl Abyss had already confirmed Rematches and Re-Blockades. On the morning of the article, the company pushed Crimson Desert on PS5 to version 1.05, turning those systems into live features rather than future additions.

The patch also adds an Iron Eagle and a Hyacinth Macaw as new legendary animals to keep as pets. Pearl Abyss included a new creature called the Mountain God Bear and a shop selling disguises.

Liam described the update as another weekend patch and said it was another gigantic update with a very long list of patch notes. The full briefing from Pearl Abyss was available through a link, but the patch notes themselves were not part of the text provided with the release.

For players, the immediate change is simple: boss fights and strongholds can now be revisited through systems built into version 1.05, while the new pets and disguise shop broaden what can be collected or bought in the PS5 build.
