Jim Goodwin Targets Four Straight Dundee United Wins — Falkirk Vs Motherwell

Jim Goodwin wants Dundee United to finish fast, and he said falkirk vs motherwell is part of a late run in which his side will try to win their next four games. The manager said the pressure has been off for a number of weeks, but the team has still held its standards while carrying momentum into the closing stretch.

Goodwin and Dundee United

"The pressure has been off us for a number of weeks now but it's testament to the players and their character and their professionalism that they've managed to maintain the high standards."

That is the position Goodwin laid out as Dundee United prepare to push through the end of the season. He said the side has been on a decent run of form of late and that there is still personal pride at stake, even with the pressure eased.

"We've been on a decent run of form of late. We've got a little bit of momentum and there's always personal pride at stake."

Will Ferry's Run

Ferry has become one of the sharper parts of that run. Goodwin called him a terrific signing over the last couple of years and described him as Mr Consistent, with value at both ends of the pitch.

"Will Ferry's been in great form. He's been a terrific signing for us over the last couple of years. He's been Mr Consistent."

Goodwin said Ferry has been defensively really solid, a big outlet when getting forward, and has added goals in the last few games. That gives Dundee United another piece they can lean on as they chase wins through the final stretch.

"He's been great for us in both elements of the game - defensively really solid but getting forward he's been a big outlet for us, lots of assists."

Four Games Left

The target is direct. Dundee United want to try and finish the season as positively as possible, and Goodwin said the next four games are the chance to do it. He also pointed to the difficulty of the fixture, saying it has been 10 years or so since Dundee United last won a game down there.

"We want to try and finish this season off as positively as possible. We want to try and win the next four games."

"We know how difficult this particular fixture is. I think it's 10 years or so since Dundee United have managed to win a game down here."

Goodwin said he hopes Ferry can keep building on that rich vein of form between now and the end of the season, which leaves Dundee United with a clear late objective and one player in especially strong rhythm as they try to reach it.

"Of course, In the last few games he's started to add goals to his game so hopefully he can add to that rich vein of form between now and the end of the season."
