Kyle Ryde Hits 1m32.780s Lap Record in 2026 British Superbikes Practice Results

Kyle Ryde set the pace in the 2026 british superbikes practice results at Oulton Park, clocking a 1m32.780s lap record to top Pre-Qualifying on day one of the season. The reigning champion moved straight into Q2, while the top 12 avoided Q1 and the rest were left to fight through it.

Ryde At Oulton Park

Ryde’s lap beat the old record set last year by Leon Haslam. He led the first round of the 2026 British Superbike Championship after returning Pre-Qualifying format again for the season.

Bradley Ray finished 0.228s behind him, with Haslam third quickest on Saturday. Storm Stacey was fourth for Bathams AJN Racing, Max Cook took fifth on the Bimota, and Scott Redding was sixth.

Q2 Places At Stake

That front end of the timing sheet carried real weight because only the top 12 riders went straight into Q2. Danny Kent was seventh for Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha, Rory Skinner finished eighth after a wobble at Druids, Christian Iddon was ninth for Sencat Racing, and Ryan Vickers made the top 10 on his return to BSB with Honda Racing.

Lee Jackson and Charlie Nesbitt filled the final two automatic Q2 spots. Joe Talbot was 13th and missed out despite being given the all clear to ride after his crash at the Oulton Park test.

Glenn Irwin In Q1

Glenn Irwin ended up in the Q1 line-up after falling at turn 12, Knickerbrook, with just over six minutes left in the 25 minute session. Josh Brookes and Jason O’Halloran were also in Q1.

Luke Hedger’s day was more difficult still. He stopped with a technical issue at Hizzy’s at the start of the session, then came back on track for the final five minutes and finished 22nd.
