Nick Taylor Requires On-Course Physio at Cadillac Championship

Nick Taylor needed an on-course physiotherapy session during his second round at the Cadillac Championship after back issues surfaced mid-round. The 5x PGA Tour winner still finished 8 under par through 36 holes, keeping himself inside the clubhouse lead at the $20 million event.

Taylor at 8 Under

He posted a 2-under 70 in the second round. Taylor was 3 under through nine holes, then made an eagle on the par-5 eighth before giving back a stroke on the back nine.

The finish turned tense on the 18th hole. Taylor drove into the water, then holed the bogey putt and called it “A great save on 18, obviously hitting the drive in the water there, and walking away with a bogey was a good save,” after the round.

Physio on the Course

The treatment itself stood out because it happened during live play, not after Taylor had come off the course. The PGA Tour captioned the moment, “You don’t see every day.” Taylor answered in the comments, “Good stuff, thanks. No happy endings this time, though.”

That sequence left him four shots behind Cameron Young with two rounds remaining. Taylor has not had a significant injury-related absence on Tour, which makes the back issue more notable inside a tournament where he still remained in position after 36 holes.

Young Leads Taylor

His position on the board still matters. Taylor remained in the mix while dealing with the back problem, and the second-round score was good enough to keep the pressure on the leaders rather than let the round disappear.
