Antonelli Takes Pole in Miami | F1 Qualifying Results

Kimi Antonelli topped f1 qualifying results at the Miami Grand Prix with a 1m 27.798s lap, putting Mercedes at the front of the grid for Sunday’s race. It was his third consecutive pole position, and Max Verstappen will line up beside him on the front row.

The margin was tight. Charles Leclerc took third, George Russell qualified fifth, and Lewis Hamilton followed in sixth, while Lando Norris settled for fourth after recovering from a boost issue earlier in the session.

Antonelli Paces Miami Grid

Antonelli’s lap of 1m 27.798s was enough to separate him from Verstappen at Miami International Autodrome. The result gives him pole for the Miami Grand Prix and extends a run that now stands at three poles in a row.

Verstappen’s second place keeps him in immediate striking distance, with Leclerc third to complete the top three. Norris, fresh off winning the sprint race earlier in the weekend, was fourth, but the boost issue left him just off the front row and out of the prime launch position he wanted.

Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren

Russell’s fifth place and Hamilton’s sixth kept Mercedes and Ferrari inside the first three rows. Oscar Piastri qualified seventh, then Franco Colapinto, Isack Hadjar, and Pierre Gasly filled out the top 10.

That top 10 matters because the grid ahead of the race is already set around a narrow qualifying spread. Antonelli, Verstappen, Leclerc, Norris, Russell, Hamilton, Piastri, Colapinto, Hadjar, and Gasly all earned their place in the order before the field drops to Nico Hulkenberg in 11th for Audi.

Lawson, Bortoleto, Cadillac

Lawson qualified 12th and summed up his run with, “That’s pretty much everything we had.” Bearman took 13th, Sainz 14th, Ocon 15th, and Albon 16th, while Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll ended up behind Arvid Lindblad.

At the back, Cadillac locked out 20th and 21st with Valtteri Bottas ahead of Sergio Perez, and Gabriel Bortoleto qualified last after a brake fire forced him to abandon the car. Antonelli left the session with the best starting spot and a clear edge over the drivers trying to chase him down from the first two rows.
