Stephanie Reacts as Bts Setlist Drives El Paso Crowds Downtown

Stephanie cried when she saw El Paso on the bts setlist, and downtown felt the effect on Friday. Comic Con, Sol Summit festival preparations, and BTS concert activity pulled crowds, costumes, and traffic into the city center at the same time.

El Paso Convention Center Friday

Day one of Comic Con took over the El Paso Convention Center, putting Spider-Man costumes into the same downtown mix as festival crews and concert traffic. One attendee, dressed as Peter Parker from Into the Spider-Verse, said, "I dressed up as Peter Parker, from into the Spider-Verse. I love Spider-Man. So that's why I dressed up."

At San Jacinto Plaza, crews were setting up stages and putting up fencing for Sol Summit, which starts Saturday. The setup brought street closures in the area, adding another layer to a downtown that was already busy before the weekend fully opened.

Stephanie and the Sun Bowl

Stephanie said, "I cried like full on cried. I couldn't believe it." She also said, "it's been like six, seven years already that I've been like following them. So I was like super excited." For her, El Paso on the tour schedule turned a city date into a personal one, and she was one of the fans traveling from across Texas and beyond for the Sun Bowl show.

One person driving earlier said there was "a lot of traffic and a lot of people on I-10," while another said it was "crazy to see El Paso so live" and that it made them "really happy." Those reactions fit the scene downtown: the city center already felt like a convergence point before the concert crowd fully stacked on top of Comic Con and Sol Summit.

Sol Summit Saturday

Crowds in downtown El Paso were expected to grow as the BTS concert, Sol Summit Festival, and Comic Con remained ahead that weekend. The practical result for anyone headed downtown was simple: plan for heavier traffic, more people on the sidewalks, and fewer easy routes through the core of the city.
