Sinner Faces Zverev for Madrid Title — Tennis Madrid 2026
Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev will meet in the tennis madrid 2026 final on Sunday at Caja Mágica in Madrid, with the fourth Masters 1000 title of the season on the line. Sinner arrives on a 27-match Masters 1000 winning streak after beating Arthur Fils, while Zverev returns to a final he has already won twice in Madrid.
Sinner’s 27-match run
Sinner reached the final by beating Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-4 on Friday and stretched his Masters 1000 winning streak to 27 matches. That run puts him third on the all-time list behind Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, and ahead of Rafael Nadal.
At 24 years old, he also became the youngest player to reach at least one final in all nine Masters 1000 tournaments on the calendar. He is the first player born in the 2000s to reach 350 wins on the circuit, and a Madrid title would give him a ninth Masters 1000 crown and his fourth title of the year after Indian Wells, Miami and Montecarlo.
Zverev’s Madrid return
Zverev booked his place by defeating Alexander Blockx 6-2, 7-5 in the other semifinal. He is chasing an eighth Masters 1000 title and a third Madrid title after winning the event in 2018 and 2021.
The matchup tilts toward Sinner on recent form, but the head-to-head is still tight enough to matter. He leads Zverev 9-4 overall and has won the last eight meetings, including a 6-1, 6-4 win in the Montecarlo Masters 1000 semifinals.
Madrid viewers and timing
The final starts at 12 in Argentina. Fans can watch it live on on television, stream it on Disney+ Premium, or access online through Flow, Telecentro Play and DGO.
That makes Sunday a direct test of two different pressures: Sinner’s streak and Zverev’s chance to turn a strong Madrid record into a third title. Zverev’s last win over Sinner came in the US Open 2023 round of 16, a five-set match he took 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
