Scott Leaves Hospital at 1am
Scott said he was out of hospital in the early hours after scans and treatment that left him with “just a severe concussion thankfully”. He added: “I appreciate all the messages and well wishes after yesterday. I got discharged at 1am last night with just a severe concussion thankfully”
He also thanked the medical staff from both clubs for the speed of their response. “I’d also like to thank the medical staff of Wakefield Trinity and Leeds Rhinos for acting so quickly and professionally in getting me sorted, as players it really doesn’t go unnoticed,” Scott wrote. “It does put things into perspective playing this game when these things happen, so again, I appreciate all the messages of support and the help I received on and off the field.”
Powell’s Clear Scan Update
Daryl Powell said after the Super League Round 10 contest that Scott had come round, was OK and had a clear scan. “He’s come round, he’s OK. His scan is clear,” Powell said. “Seeing it from a distance he wasn’t moving too much which is always a concern, but he’s good.”
The stoppage lasted around 10 minutes, a long delay inside a match that Wakefield ultimately lost 40-22. Scott’s quick discharge and the clear scan left the focus on recovery, not a longer spell away, and Wakefield now head into a week off because of the Challenge Cup semi-finals.
