Scott Jennings curses at Mockler in Cnn Iran debate

Scott Jennings cursed at Adam Mockler during ’s NewsNight with Abby Phillip on Thursday, after the two argued over Trump’s war with Iran. Jennings told Mockler, “Get your f---ing hand out of my face, first of all!”

The exchange came after Mockler asked, “Can you name a single political concession we have gotten from Iran?” and wrote that “Trump’s war with Iran has failed.” Abby Phillip tried to step in as Jennings said, “I’m not going to have this guy’s hand in my face.”

Jennings and Mockler

Jennings had already told Mockler that he had “the attention span of a gnat,” turning a policy argument into a personal confrontation on the live segment. Mockler, a MeidasTouch podcaster and commentator, appeared on the program on Thursday for the discussion.

The clash happened while the source says the war had entered its ninth week, with no end in sight. It also says 13 American service members had died and hundreds more had been wounded.

Trump's Ceasefire Deadline

Late last month, Trump extended an indefinite ceasefire, but the source says it had not produced any productive peace talks between Washington and Tehran. Thousands of U.S. troops remained stationed in the region while Trump and administration officials, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, continued to boast of total victory over Iran.

That backdrop made the on-air exchange more than a personal dispute. Mockler’s challenge forced Jennings to answer for the stated results of the war, and Jennings responded by shutting down the exchange rather than engaging the question.

Geraldo Rivera's Response

Geraldo Rivera later told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo that Mockler was “really being a d--k,” and added in an imagined conversation, “Shut up!” and “Go out and get some life experience!”

For viewers, the sharper takeaway is that the argument exposed how quickly debate over the war can break from policy into profanity. With the conflict in its ninth week and no productive talks reported, the live split-screen fight left the administration’s claims and the criticism of them facing each other in public.
