Peja Goold, Bandits Lead 2026 Draft as 17 Golden Tickets Go — Ausl Draft 2026
Peja Goold went No. 4 to the Bandits, and the ausl draft 2026 sorted out where 17 college softball players with golden tickets will begin their pro careers. Monday night’s draft also brought the expansion OKC Spark and Portland Cascade into the pick process with four other AUSL teams.
Bandits, Cascade, and Talons
Kat Sandercock of Florida State went to the Bandits at No. 4, followed by Mia Davidson of Mississippi State to the Cascade at No. 8. The first two rounds moved quickly enough to put several of the top golden-ticket players in place before the night closed.
Jailyn Ford of James Madison was taken by the OKC Spark at No. 14, and Rachel Becker of Oklahoma State went to the Talons at No. 15. Peja Goold, a pitcher from Mississippi State, was selected by the Bandits at No. 4.
OKC Spark Takes More Picks
The Spark returned later for Sydney Sherrill of Florida State at No. 26, adding another college name to its draft haul. The Volts reached a 14-player limit and ended their night, while the Blaze opted out of the remaining rounds.
The draft then wound down with the remaining teams declining to make any further picks. That left the 17-player group with its first pro destinations set, and it also left the expansion teams with an immediate presence in the college draft mix.
Golden Tickets Set the Board
Sydney McKinney of Wichita State went to the OKC Spark at No. 4 in the AUSL Expansion Draft, while Sierra Sacco of Mississippi State joined the Cascade at No. 6 and Jessi Warren of Florida State went to the OKC Spark at No. 8. Those expansion-draft moves ran alongside the college draft and showed how quickly the new pieces were being folded into team plans.
For the players, the landing spots are now set. For the teams, Monday night was about filling out the first pro roster paths for a 17-player college class, with the Bandits, Cascade, Spark, Talons, and Volts all part of the board before the final picks stopped.
