Nepal Vs Oman: Airee backs attack in Kirtipur on Tuesday
Nepal vs Oman lands in Kirtipur on Tuesday with Nepal needing points in their ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 campaign. Dipendra Singh Airee said the home side want to play positively after two victories over UAE in the ongoing tri-series.

Airee said Nepal were aiming for a stronger batting effort after a rough start at home. “We couldn’t play well in the first two matches (of the tri-series). Now the partnerships are getting better. If we can play by taking that positively, we can achieve a good result against Oman.”
He added a personal note that also pointed to Nepal’s batting concerns: “Other players are not scoring runs. Perhaps because I am a bit more focused (on my own performance), I am doing well. Earlier, I wasn’t scoring runs either.”
Nepal’s recent home wins over UAE gave them a lift, but the clash with Oman carries a sharper edge because the team sit in seventh place in the League 2 table with seven wins in the current cycle. They are chasing a top four finish at the end of the cycle to earn a direct spot in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier event for the 50-over World Cup.
Rohit Paudel on pressure
Rohit Paudel said the squad is ready for that pressure. “It is our nature to play under pressure. Therefore, we are hopeful that we will secure a win.”
He also pointed to continuity in the group, noting that “The same players who played a role in winning 11 matches in the previous cycle are still in the team today. We have already endured that level of pressure. Therefore, the upcoming matches will be even more important.”
That leaves Tuesday’s match as a direct test of whether Nepal can turn home form into table movement. Kirtipur is the stage, Oman is the opponent, and Nepal’s position leaves little room for another uneven outing.
