Taulia Tagovailoa: Birmingham Stallions add Elijah Cooks and Adrian Ealy
taulia tagovailoa was part of a Tuesday roster shift for the Birmingham Stallions, who added wide receiver Elijah Cooks and offensive lineman Adrian Ealy. The move gives Birmingham two players with NFL and UFL experience after both have moved through several pro stops.
Elijah Cooks brings size
Cooks arrives listed at 6 foot 4 and 215 pounds at 27 years old, with a background that includes Jacksonville, Philadelphia and New Orleans. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023, and has three catches for 38 yards in 11 career NFL games.
He also logged 12 catches for 193 yards, one touchdown and one tackle in eight preseason games. Before turning pro, he spent five seasons at Nevada from 2019 to 2021, where he totaled 115 catches for 1,478 yards and 18 touchdowns before transferring to San Jose State in 2022.
Adrian Ealy returns again
Ealy gives Birmingham a 6 foot 6, 321-pound blocker at 26 years old. He was drafted by the D.C. Defenders in the 2026 UFL Draft but did not play for them before his release on April 1, 2026.
His path has already run through Baltimore, Denver, Los Angeles, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Arlington. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2021, later joined the Seattle Sea Dragons on October 23, 2023, and then played nine games for the Arlington Renegades in 2024, starting six, before starting seven games for Arlington in 2025.
Oklahoma and San Jose State
The two additions also bring different college résumés. Cooks was named First Team All-Mountain West at San Jose State in 2022 after catching 69 passes for 1,076 yards and 10 touchdowns that season. Ealy spent three seasons at Oklahoma from 2018 to 2020, played right tackle and left tackle in 28 games, made 23 starts and earned two-time Second Team All-Big 12 honors.
His 2020 season included three sacks allowed on 421 pass plays, a line that gives Birmingham a clearer picture of what it is getting at tackle. For Cooks, the numbers point to a receiver who can stretch the field; for Ealy, they point to a lineman with extensive game experience at both tackle spots.
Together, the signings give the Stallions added depth at two spots that usually decide how stable a roster can be over a long run. Birmingham did not get one headline addition; it got two players whose pro paths already include NFL camps, UFL drafts and multiple stops, which is the kind of turnover this league keeps rewarding.
