Jake Hall Dies at 35 in Majorca Villa Investigation
jake hall, 35, was found dead with fatal head injuries at a holiday villa in Santa Margalida, Majorca, on Wednesday morning. Officers were called to the property at around 7.30am after a night in which he had been partying.
A source said: "Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting." The Spanish Civil Guard is leading the inquiry, while an autopsy was due in Palma.
Santa Margalida villa inquiry
A police source said investigators were focusing on the theory that he died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door. "We are focusing on the theory the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door but it is still too early to say definitely what happened."
Four men and two women staying at the house were thought to have been questioned after officers arrived. The people at the villa reportedly told officers they had been out in the evening and continued partying after returning in the early hours, which is the detail that keeps this case on the accident track rather than anything more elaborate.
FCDO support for family
An FCDO spokesperson said: "We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities". That leaves his family, including eight-year-old daughter River, waiting on the Palma post-mortem while investigators test whether the fatal injury came from a collision with the glass door.
Hall had become known as a former TOWIE star and designer, and he had a second home in Mallorca that he often used as a base for work and leisure. The case now turns on the autopsy in Palma and the witness accounts already gathered in Santa Margalida.
