Wa Government Fuel Voucher Starts 1 July 2026 Via ServiceWA
Western Australians will be able to claim the wa government fuel voucher from 1 July 2026, when the one-off $100 Fuel Support Payment opens through the ServiceWA app. The payment is available to people with a valid Western Australian driver’s licence, including learner’s permits, provisional driver’s licences and extraordinary driver’s licences.
Claims open through the ServiceWA offers tab, and users logged in with Digital ID will be able to access the payment once the window opens. Alternative claim options will also be available for people who are unable or do not wish to use the app.
ServiceWA fuel claims
The Fuel Support Payment is one of two new payments the government says will be available via ServiceWA from July 2026. It is described as a cost-of-living measure to help Western Australians with fuel costs, and the app is the main route for claiming it.
ServiceWA already gives users access to government services, offers and information in one place, and the government has said several services are already featured in the app. The support payments sit alongside recent rebates and offers available through the app, including the Kids Access All Areas Voucher, WA Tree Recovery and Treebate programs.
WA driver licence eligibility
The eligibility rules are tied to the licence held by the claimant. A valid Western Australian driver’s licence qualifies, and the government has also included learner’s permits, provisional driver’s licences and extraordinary driver’s licences from 1 July 2026.
That means the payment is not limited to full licence holders. The practical step for eligible people is to log into ServiceWA with Digital ID when claims open, or use one of the alternative claim methods if they cannot or do not want to use the app.
WA Student Assistance Payment
The second payment arriving through ServiceWA is the WA Student Assistance Payment, which will open on 20 July 2026 and return for a third year. It is available to parents and carers of students from Kindergarten to year 12 and helps with school costs such as books, uniforms, excursions and other everyday expenses.
For that payment, ServiceWA is again the fastest, most secure and most convenient way to claim. Alternative claim methods will be available through the Department of Education website, and paper forms will be made available where needed for the 2026 payment, including for parents or carers of students who have started Kindergarten or Pre-primary this year and do not have anything with their WA student number.
