Bayern Munich Rule Out Kai Havertz Summer Move
Bayern Munich have no interest in signing kai havertz from Arsenal in the summer transfer window. The decision closes off one of the names that had circulated around the forward, even though he remains an established part of Mikel Arteta’s squad and is under contract until the summer of 2028.
Havertz and Bayern Munich
Christian Falk said Bayern have no interest in a 2026 summer deal for Havertz and will not try to sign him. He also said it is not true that Bayern have added the Arsenal forward to their shortlist ahead of the summer.
That draws a line under the latest round of speculation. Havertz has 34 goals and 17 assists in 107 matches in all competitions for Arsenal, and he has already made 20 appearances in the 2025/26 campaign with five goals and four assists.
Arsenal’s Havertz Situation
Havertz joined Arsenal from Chelsea in 2023 and quickly became an important player for Arteta. His current season has been interrupted by knee and muscle injuries, which has added another layer to the debate around his future.
Earlier this month, Alex Howell said that before this season there had been discussions internally about extending Havertz’s deal or seeing what interest there might have been in him this summer if he had produced the expected season. Howell added that the process has been put on hold with Gyokeres’ performances raising questions and Havertz’s recent injury record lowering the possibility of a club paying his true value.
Bayern’s Summer Plans
The Bayern link had enough traction to become part of the wider transfer conversation, with James Benge saying there was interest there and that it was one to monitor in the summer. He also noted that Nicolas Jackson is set to return to Chelsea after his loan spell at Bayern, a detail that had fuelled discussion around Bayern’s attacking depth.
Arsenal’s active pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez adds another moving piece around the squad picture, but Bayern’s position on Havertz now removes one possible destination from the summer market. For Arsenal, the clearer takeaway is that one rumored exit route has been shut before the window opens.
