Nick Pasqual Found Guilty in Sunland Stabbing Case
nick pasqual was found guilty Friday of attempted murder and other charges after a May 2024 stabbing at his estranged girlfriend Allie Shehorn’s Sunland home. The verdict leaves the 36-year-old actor facing the maximum sentence of life in prison, with sentencing set for a later date.
Sunland Home Attack
Pasqual was convicted of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child's parent. He broke into Shehorn’s home in May 2024 and stabbed her 20 times before leaving the scene.
Shehorn told the court, “I locked the door, and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open, and I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there's another lock on that door.”
Allie Shehorn’s Injuries
Shehorn was rushed to hospital and almost died before making a recovery. She later said, “I still don't have feeling back in my hands and partial vision loss that I can't get back.” She also said, “Every day is different, and it's a struggle, and just dealing with the permanent damage is really hard. I can't go back completely to how I was.”
Christine White found Shehorn bleeding out after the attack and told KTLA at the time, “I found her and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened,” adding, “It wasn't a pretty sight…This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody. You don't think this is ever going to happen to you.”
From Mexico to California
After the stabbing, Pasqual attempted to flee to Mexico. He was caught in Texas and brought back to California to face charges. The case also followed earlier restraining orders against him in January 2024 after an assault and in April 2024 after a sexual assault.
George Gascón said at the time of the attack, “My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident,” and added that the office would make sure “the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.” Friday’s verdict closes the trial phase and turns the case to sentencing, where Pasqual now faces life in prison.
