Ben Shelton Set for Team World at Laver Cup London 2026

ben shelton will represent Team World at the Laver Cup in London from September 25–27, 2026, giving the side another top-10 player for its return to The O2. The 23-year-old American is ranked World No. 6, and his addition comes with five of the world's top 10 players already set for the event.

Team World Adds Shelton

Shelton joins World No. 7 Taylor Fritz and World No. 8 Alex de Minaur on the Team World side. He will compete under Captain Andre Agassi and Vice Captain Pat Rafter for the first time, after missing last year's event in San Francisco because of injury.

“It’s always an honor to be part of Team World,” Shelton said of the call-up. “I’ve got some great memories from Laver Cup already and I’m excited to get back out there in London with the guys.”

The O2 Returns in 2026

The 2026 edition sends the event back to London and The O2, where Roger Federer played the final match of his career in 2022 alongside Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray. Team World has won three of the last four Laver Cup titles, and Shelton has already been part of one winning campaign.

He owns a 6-2 record across Vancouver 2023 and Berlin 2024, winning all of his matches in Vancouver when Team World lifted the title. Shelton also reached the semi-finals at the 2023 US Open and the 2025 Australian Open, and he has won two ATP titles in Dallas and Munich this year for a career total of five.
