Disney Adventure Cruise Cancelled After Passengers Board in Singapore

Disney Adventure Cruise Cancelled After Passengers Board in Singapore

Disney adventure cruise cancelled after passengers had already boarded in Singapore, forcing Disney Cruise Line to stop the May 7, 2026 sailing before it left port. The line said the Disney Adventure could not proceed with the May 7-11 voyage as planned and remained docked while teams dealt with a mechanical issue.

Singapore Boarding Stops Short

Passengers spent time on the ship while it was still in port before being asked to prepare to disembark. Disney Cruise Line told guests, “We are truly sorry to let you know that we are unable to proceed with your Disney Adventure experience from May 7-11, 2026 as planned. We fully understand how upsetting and disappointing this news is, and we realize this is not the experience you were looking forward to,” a direct acknowledgment that the sailing ended before it properly began.

The Disney Adventure is the company’s eighth ship and runs three- and four-night cruises from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore. That makes the cancellation especially disruptive for a vessel that was only months into passenger service after a delayed launch and early reports of missing mattresses and changes to the entertainment lineup.

Repair Work Delays Departure

A Disney Cruise Line spokesperson said, “The Disney Adventure remains in port in Singapore as our teams continue to address a mechanical issue. As the issue has not been resolved in the timeframe required to start this voyage, this current sailing has been cancelled. We apologize to our guests and are working with them directly to provide support for their travel needs,” which points to a technical fault severe enough to wipe out the voyage rather than delay it a few hours.

The line offered full refunds and 50% off a future Disney cruise, along with a complimentary hotel stay, coverage of flight change fees, and up to $500 per stateroom for other incidentals. For travelers who had already boarded, that package turns the cancellation into a logistics problem as much as a leisure one: bags, flights, and hotel plans now have to be reset around a ship that never left Singapore.

May 11 Sailing Remains

The next sailing scheduled to depart on May 11 was expected to take place as planned, giving Disney Cruise Line a narrow window to clear the ship and get the operation back on schedule. For passengers on the May 7 voyage, the immediate move is to use the refund, hotel, and travel support already promised while the line works through the repairs in port.
