Brooke Shields Joins Next Gen NYC Season 2 Trailer With Rowan

brooke shields and her daughter Rowan Henchy make their Next Gen NYC debut in the season 2 trailer, and Gia Giudice introduces her as “Hannah Montana's mom.” The new season premieres Wednesday, June 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.

June 24 on Bravo

The trailer places Shields inside Bravo’s season 2 rollout just as the show moves from a first-season launch in June 2025 to a second run with a wider late-night slot. For viewers, the practical takeaway is simple: the premiere lands on linear TV first, then becomes available on Peacock the following day.

Rowan Henchy also appears in the trailer, turning the casting move into a family entry point rather than a one-off cameo. Rowan later posted about the season on Instagram and wrote, “Post grad took bit of a turn. See you June 24? #nextgennyc @bravotv”.

Hannah Montana Returns

Shields’ appearance is built around the role that still follows her: Susan Stewart, Miley’s mother on Hannah Montana. In March, she marked 20 years of the series on Instagram with the caption, “20 years of #HannahMontana, say what?!? ✨?,” and added, “These really were some sweet memories playing Miley’s mom on the show... Who’s reliving the magic & watching the @disneyplus special?”

She also called the experience “such a joy” in a separate clip, which gives the trailer a clean crossover hook without needing any extra setup. The show is using a familiar credit to frame a fresh cast entrance, and that is the kind of shorthand reality TV leans on when it wants instant recognition.

Chris Henchy's Urn Scene

The trailer adds a sharper edge with Chris Henchy carrying an urn containing Shields’ late mother’s ashes. Shields says, “I put my mother next to the two things she loves the most: me and booze,” a line that pushes the season away from pure party chatter and into family territory.

Bravo has already teased season 2 as “anything but chill,” with first real apartments, lingering scandals, messy breakups, shifting friendships and new romances in the mix. That promise now sits beside a cast addition anchored by a recognizable film and TV name, which should help the new season cut through a crowded summer schedule instead of opening like another generic ensemble spinoff.
