Senhit returns for San Marino Eurovision 2026 with Superstar

Senhit will represent san marino at Eurovision 2026 with the song Superstar, bringing her back to the contest after three previous entries. The return gives San Marino another chance to improve on a record that still has no win after 15 appearances.

Senhit said in a video after being chosen: "Thank you very much guys, thank you for your love, for your support, for this kind of beautiful community that surround me, so I'm ready." She has represented San Marino before in 2011, 2020 and 2021, and last year Gabry Ponte finished 26th with 27 points.

Boy George on Superstar

Superstar includes uncredited vocals from Boy George, and at the time of reporting he was expected to join Senhit on stage for the performance. Senhit told Eurovision Fun that Boy George was "absolutely" performing with her.

She also said: "This is something that was discussed with Boy George, I will go to him next week [as he's been touring America] just to start to talk about staging and all the things," and added: "And he knew that the possibility to go to Vienna. He said absolutely I will be involved with you, and I will be on stage with you. So yeah absolutely you will see him for sure. For sure."

Senhit's Eurovision record

Senhit was born and raised in Bologna to Eritrean parents and first began her career in theatre, including performances in Fame, The Lion King and Hair across Europe. After her Eurovision success in 2011, she released the album Dangerous, which features collaborations with Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi and Flo Rida.

San Marino has been represented at Eurovision 15 times and has never won. Senhit's return places her back in the country's most familiar role: carrying its entry in front of a contest audience that has already seen her three times before.
