Dominik Tarczyński Says He Was Denied UK Entry, Vows Starmer Lawsuit

Dominik Tarczyński said on social media that he was denied entry to the United Kingdom, where he said he wanted to speak at what he described as the biggest patriotic event in Europe. The Polish MEP said he would sue British Prime Minister Keir Starmer personally.

Tarczyński wrote that he would not sue the government or the Home Office, but Starmer himself. In the same posts, he wrote: “Właśnie odmówiono mi wjazdu do Wielkiej Brytanii, abym mógł przemówić na największym patriotycznym wydarzeniu w Europie” and “Starmer zostanie pozwany przeze mnie. Nie rząd, nie Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych, ale Starmer osobiście. Gdy przegrasz następne wybory, komunisto, spotkamy się w sądzie!”

He also wrote, “To jest oblicze komunizmu w XXI wieku” and “Ten komunista nie jest w stanie uciszyć milionów ani odebrać im prawa do głosowania!” The posts set up a legal threat directed at Starmer rather than at the British government as an institution.

Sławomir Mentzen in London

The case comes days after Sławomir Mentzen said he was detained for more than three hours at London airport after arriving in London with his family. Mentzen said his passport was eventually returned and he was released.

Mentzen later thanked Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and consul Agnieszka Fabryczewska for contact and promises of inquiries to British institutions. He also thanked Marcin Przydacz and Adam Andruszkiewicz for interest in the matter and promised action from the Presidential Chancellery.

London airport detention

Mentzen wrote that he was held because British authorities feared he would speak at a political meeting he was not even planning to attend. Tarczyński’s posts did not give a reason for the entry denial, and they did not name the event he said he wanted to address.

The immediate next step is legal, not procedural: Tarczyński said he plans to sue Starmer personally. His posts turn a travel dispute into a direct claim against the prime minister, while Mentzen’s account shows that similar treatment at London airport has already drawn formal inquiries from Polish officials.
