Nintendo Fixes 1.0.2 Bugs in Tomodachi Life Patch Notes
Tomodachi life patch notes arrived on May 14, 2026, when Nintendo released Version 1.0.2 of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream across all Switch consoles. The update targets bugs that had blocked island progress and thrown save data warnings at players since launch about a month earlier.
Nintendo’s 1.0.2 update
The patch rolled out globally for all Switch consoles. Players can start it from the HOME Menu or let the console download it automatically if it is connected to the internet.
Nintendo also fixed the progression problem that could appear after an island had been built up. That left some players with a game that would not move forward at all.
Save data and Mii scenes
The update also addresses a house exterior change at Palette House that sometimes stopped progression. It fixes a separate save failure tied to a successful Mii confession, where the game could show “your save data is corrupted” and block saving.
Another save issue appeared when multiple Mii characters started living together. In that case, the game could display a “data has been corrupted” message during saving.
Nintendo also fixed a rare error that could stop the game when a scene switched over. That kind of failure is the sort of bug players usually only notice after the system has already interrupted play.
What players should do
For players still on the launch build, the practical step is simple: check the HOME Menu or wait for automatic delivery if the console is online. The patch does not add a new mode or feature, but it does remove several failure points that could interrupt normal island play.
The one unresolved detail is whether Nintendo will issue another update soon, because the current notes only cover Version 1.0.2 and the fixes it already shipped.
