Tyrrell Sampson Set for Wembley Fa Vase Final With AFC Stoneham

Tyrrell Sampson will feature for AFC Stoneham in the fa vase final at Wembley on Sunday, May 17, giving the 26-year-old Bournemouth footballer a place on one of non-league’s biggest stages. He will kick off at 12.30pm against Cockfosters after AFC Stoneham reached the final with a 6-1 aggregate win over Hallen.

Sampson’s Wembley route

Sampson was born and raised in Bournemouth and still lives there while playing for the Hampshire club. He progressed through youth football in Bournemouth, and his path has taken him through Poole Town as a 16-year-old and later in the Southern League.

At the start of the 25/26 season, he represented Poole Town after joining from Stoneham. He moved back to AFC Stoneham in September, putting him back in the side that has now carried through to Wembley.

AFC Stoneham and Cockfosters

AFC Stoneham arrive as Wessex League champions, with Hallen left behind by that 6-1 aggregate semifinal result. The final now brings them Cockfosters at Wembley, with Sampson part of a squad that has already handled the pressure of a two-legged knockout tie.

The timing gives Sampson a direct link between home and the national stage: a Bournemouth-born player, still based in the city, stepping into a Wembley final for a Hampshire side. For AFC Stoneham, the task is immediate and clear on Sunday, May 17 at 12.30pm, where Cockfosters stand between them and the Vase trophy.
