Sergio Garcia Leads 19 LIV Golf Players Into Us Open 2026 Qualifying

Nineteen LIV Golf players are scheduled to chase spots in us open 2026 final qualifying across three venues over two weeks. Dallas Athletic Club and Walton Heath Golf Club open the run on Monday, with another site at Hino Golf Club in Japan on May 25.

Dallas Athletic Club load

Dallas carries the biggest group, with 14 LIV Golf players entered there. Sergio Garcia, the Fireballs GC captain, is among them after finishing solo second at Maaden LIV Golf Virginia.

Graeme McDowell adds a former champion to the field. He won the 2010 U.S. Open and is scheduled to compete at Dallas alongside Abraham Ancer, Josele Ballester, Branden Grace, Brendan Steele, Byeong Hun An, Caleb Surratt, Cameron Tringale, Harold Varner III, Michael La Sasso, Peter Uihlein, Scott Vincent and Tom McKibbin.

Walton Heath and Hino

Three LIV Golf players are set for Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England. Its Old Course was built by Herbert Fowler in 1904 and has hosted the Ryder Cup and multiple European Opens.

The third site comes a week later at Hino Golf Club in Japan. That spread across three venues and two weeks will help fill a significant portion of the remaining places in the 156-player field for the 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

David Puig exemption

David Puig is the main name to drop out of the Dallas chase. He finished T18 at last week's PGA Championship, moved up to 58th in the world ranking and earned an exemption into the U.S. Open.

That leaves 19 LIV Golf players still pursuing the final qualifying path, with Dallas holding the largest concentration and Walton Heath and Hino completing the schedule. The June 18-21 championship at Shinnecock Hills will sort the rest.
