Montgomery County Courthouse Shooting Injures Dalton Eatherly — Chud The Builder Bond

Dalton Eatherly, known on social media as chud the builder bond, was injured after a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon. The Montgomery County Courts Complex closed Thursday while authorities investigated the incident and kept access to the facilities restricted.

Robert Nash On The Altercation

Robert Nash, the District Attorney General for the 19th Judicial District, said a social media personality and another man were injured after a confrontation outside the courthouse led to gunfire. Nash said the preliminary investigation showed that Eatherly and an unidentified man got into an altercation before the shooting.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said both men sustained gunshot wounds. One was taken to Vanderbilt Clarksville, and the other was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. The sheriff’s office did not say which man went to which hospital.

County officials asked the public to avoid the area while investigators continued their work. The county also said the Montgomery County Courts Complex includes multiple facilities, and the closure limited access while the investigation remained ongoing.

The sheriff’s office said there was no danger to the public and that the scene was secure in the earlier report. The shooting came after Eatherly was arrested in Nashville on Saturday after he allegedly ordered nearly $400 worth of food at Bob’s Steak and Chop and refused to pay the tab.

For people who needed the courthouse or related offices on Thursday, the immediate change was simple: stay away from the complex until access restrictions were lifted. The public notice left the building open to investigators, not to regular visitors.
