Disasi Looms Over West Ham Vs Leeds As Relegation Threat Grows

Leeds United are keeping a close eye on Axel Disasi at west ham vs leeds, and a move could follow if West Ham go down on the final day of the season. The West Ham centre-back is on loan from Chelsea, and his future may shift again this summer.

Leeds Track Disasi

Leeds originally lined up a move for Disasi in January before they missed out to West Ham, then returned to the defender again on 9 May. He has emerged as a leading target as Daniel Farke looks to strengthen at the back ahead of the summer transfer window.

Mick Brown said it is “inevitable” Disasi will leave the London Stadium if West Ham are relegated, and he added that “there will be lots of clubs in the Premier League keen to take him on.” Brown also said, “Leeds are among those, I believe, because they want to strengthen at the back and he has shown at West Ham that he can make that happen.”

West Ham At Elland Road

West Ham visit Elland Road knowing only a win will give them a shot at survival, and they also need Tottenham to lose both of their last two games. That leaves the final-day trip with two pressures at once: a result in Leeds and help elsewhere.

Brown said West Ham have been impressed with Disasi, describing him as someone who has “picked up the squad” and is “a good influence.” He also said, “You have to give him credit, he’s gone in there, worked hard, and he’s done everything he can to help turn around their fortunes.”

Disasi And Chelsea

Disasi will return to Chelsea after the loan spell in east London, but the expectation around him has already changed. Brown said, “So it would make a lot of sense for that move to happen for him and for Leeds, because I don’t think he’s got any future at Chelsea now.”

That puts Leeds in the middle of a summer market race that could start with West Ham’s result, not theirs. If West Ham stay up, the defender stays part of the discussion; if they go down, Leeds have a path to move quickly for a centre-back they have tracked for months.
