Bruno Mars Concert Toronto Faces May 23, 24 and 30 GO Cuts
The bruno mars concert toronto schedule runs into a transit cut on May 23, 24 and 30, when GO trains will not stop at Downsview Park Station. Metrolinx is steering concertgoers toward the TTC instead, while no GO replacement buses will serve the station on those nights.
Downsview Park Station
Bruno Mars is set to perform at Rogers Stadium on May 23, 24, 27, 28 and 30, but the Downsview Park stop is off the GO map for three of those dates. The only GO replacement buses will run between Allandale Waterfront GO and Highway 407 Bus Terminal, so riders headed to the stadium cannot rely on GO to finish the trip.
Lindsay Miller said, "These short-term disruptions are really about helping us to build out important GO expansion work that will ultimately lead to faster, more reliable and more frequent service for customers". That puts a familiar trade-off in plain view: concert traffic is being pushed onto other transit while the rail network keeps work moving in the background.
Rogers Stadium Transit
Live Nation says all shows will end by 11 p.m., and it is paying for free TTC rides for ticketholders after every show. The TTC says there will be no planned service disruptions on concert nights, along with extra subway service on Lines 1, 2, 5 and 6 and extra buses serving the stadium.
Fans can reach the area by subway at Downsview Park Station, Sheppard West Station and Wilson Station. The TTC also says there will be free shuttle service between Wilson Station and the stadium, running 30 minutes before the Fan Plaza opens and until one hour after the show ends, while a new pedestrian path is available to Sheppard West Station.
Lakeshore West Work
This weekend, GO service is also shut down on the Lakeshore West line between Aldershot and Union stations for major track upgrades. Replacement buses will pick up passengers at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson GO stations, then drop them at Bramalea GO, where riders can connect to the Kitchener Line for Union Station.
Limited parking around the stadium makes the transit plan the practical one, especially with three show dates tied to the Downsview Park closure and a full weekend of work on another corridor. For ticket holders, the simplest move is to use the TTC, not wait for GO service that will not be there.
