Avon and Somerset Police appeal after broken jaw in Weston Super Mare
A man suffered a broken jaw after being punched outside Vinnie's in weston super mare on Saturday, April 25. Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing for witnesses because there was no suitable CCTV covering the area.
The victim was sat outside the West Street bar at around 8pm when two unknown men approached him and argued about moving from the table. Police said one of the suspects punched him in the face, and the man later required hospital treatment before recovering at home.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers have spoken with the victim and the bar. They described the suspect as white, very tall, with several tattoos, and wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
The missing CCTV means the case depends on people who were outside the bar at the time. Police said there were several people there who may have seen what happened, and they asked anyone who can help to call 101 and quote reference 5226127756.

The force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Weston-super-Mare last month.” It also said: “If you can help, please call us on 101 and quote reference 5226127756.”
That appeal leaves the witness call as the practical next step for anyone who was outside Vinnie's that evening. With no suitable CCTV capturing the area, the people who were there may be the only remaining route to identifying the suspect.
