Jeep Plans A New Two Door Scrambler Pickup Halo Model by 2030
Jeep plans a new two door scrambler pickup halo model, showing a Wrangler Scrambler SRT during Stellantis' turnaround presentation on Thursday. Tim Kuniskis said Jeep is trying to get IRS in there, and the vehicle could reach production by 2030 if Stellantis pulls off the plan.
Tim Kuniskis Shows Scrambler
The Scrambler is a two-door Gladiator-based pickup truck with four seats, slightly longer doors for easier rear access and a side step to help reach the back row. Jeep also showed a rear hardtop that can be removed, while the front hardtop uses Wrangler freedom panels that pop off with latches.
Kuniskis, who heads the American brands, showed the Jeep Wrangler Scrambler SRT during the presentation. The vehicle shown was a 3D-printed buck, not a finished production model, but Jeep positioned it as an SRT product and said the Gladiator is getting the Wrangler's 392.
Scrambler Interior And Roof
The rear seats can be turned around, letting passengers face backward with the roof off. That setup is part of the concept Jeep displayed as it outlined the Scrambler's body and cabin layout.
The front end uses a shark nose design, with a hood that cants forward at the top edge and squarish headlights. Jeep described that front end as a mashup between the Convoy concept from the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari and the Wrangler Anvil 715 Concept from this year's Easter Jeep Safari.
IRS And 2030 Target
Thomas Sacoman said the front of the Scrambler will have an independent suspension, and Kuniskis later said Jeep is trying to get IRS in there. The source said it would not be surprising to see a 392 cubic-inch 6.4-liter Hemi V8 under the hood.
If Stellantis pulls off the plan, the Scrambler would be here by 2030. For Jeep buyers, that sets the timing and the shape of the product: a two-door, four-seat Gladiator-based SRT pickup with removable roof sections and a possible V8.
