Patrick Habirora Knocks Out Benson Henderson in 20 Seconds

Patrick Habirora knocked out benson henderson in 20 seconds on Saturday afternoon at PFL Brussels. The undefeated Belgian prospect finished the former UFC and WEC lightweight champion in the opening round at ING Arena in Brussels, a result that kept Habirora perfect at 8-0 and dropped Henderson to 30-12.

Habirora Stops Henderson Early

Habirora used punches to end the featured welterweight bout at 0:20 of round 1. The finish came before Henderson could settle in, and it turned the main event into the shortest decisive result on the card.

For Henderson, the loss added a first-round setback to a career that already included a UFC and WEC lightweight title run. He had not fought in the cage since 2023, and the quick defeat left no doubt about how sharply the main event swung once the opening exchanges began.

ING Arena Card Turns Fast

The rest of the Saturday afternoon card at ING Arena moved quickly as well. Taylor Lapilus outpointed Jake Hadley by unanimous decision, with all three scores reading 30-27, while Boris Mbarga Atangana stopped Jared Gooden with punches at 1:05 of round 1.

Naoki Inoue also went the distance in a split decision over Marcirley Alves, with the judges split 29-28, 29-28 and 27-30. Asael Adjoudj needed a second-round head kick at 2:22 to beat Keisuke Sasu, and Gustavo Oliveira finished Baris Adiguzel with a guillotine choke at 1:10 of round 2.

More Finishes In Brussels

Donegi Abena beat Joe Schilling after Schilling refused to continue following a foul, and Movsar Ibragimov submitted Shane Campbell with a rear-naked choke at 3:28 of round 1. Khamzat Abaev added another first-round stoppage, taking Luca Poclit with strikes at 2:56.

Adam Meskini edged Keweny Lopes by split decision, 29-28, 29-28 and 28-29, and Ashley Reece closed the night with a unanimous decision over Rustam Serbiev, 29-28 across the board. The card also came after a brawl broke out during the ceremonial weigh-ins, a volatile lead-in to a night that ended with Habirora’s 20-second finish.
