Simon Cowell Sends Sonny Green Through as BGT Final Nears — Who Won Britain's Got Talent 2026
Britain's Got Talent's live final will air on Saturday, May 30 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX, and that date now fixes the endgame for who won britain's got talent 2026. The show’s 19th season will also be available on demand after it airs, with the £250,000 prize and Royal Variety Performance slot still on the line.
Sonny Green Joins Eight
Eight acts were through to the final as things stood, after four semi-finals had taken place. The latest additions were magician Rafferty Coope and poet Sonny Green, who moved forward in the most recent semi-final and kept the final field moving toward its last open places.
Simon Cowell sent Green straight through with his Live Golden Buzzer after the poet performed a piece dedicated to his sons. The move adds one more named finalist to a lineup that already includes comedian Ted Hill, singer Matty Juniosa, dog act Anastasiia & Salsa, dance group LMA with Sadeck Berrabah, magician Fabian Fox, and fire juggler Liwei Yang.
KSI, Holden, Dixon
KSI used his Live Golden Buzzer on Liwei Yang after calling the fire juggler “phenomenal” and “magical.” Amanda Holden advanced Matty Juniosa with her Live Golden Buzzer, while Alesha Dixon chose LMA and Sadeck Berrabah for hers. Those three decisions mattered because they removed any waiting game for the acts involved and put them straight into the final lineup before the fifth semi-final.
Two more acts were set to progress from the fifth and final semi-final on Saturday, May 23, which means the May 30 live final will land with a complete cast rather than an unfinished field. For viewers, that is the point where the season stops being a search and becomes a head-to-head for the prize and the Royal Variety Performance slot.
May 30 on ITV1
The schedule leaves a short runway between the last semi-final and the live final, so the remaining acts have one last shot to force their way into a 7pm broadcast slot on ITV1 and ITVX. If you are following the season as a competition, the only thing left to watch is which names fill the final two places and which one turns the final into a win.
