Brewers 5, Dodgers 1 Behind Logan Henderson and Four-Run First — Dodgers - Brewers

The Brewers beat the Dodgers 5-1 on Friday night in dodgers - brewers, turning the game in the bottom of the first inning and never letting Los Angeles back in. Logan Henderson handled the early pressure and Milwaukee’s bats built a lead the Dodgers could not erase.

Contreras Starts the Surge

Three runs came before the Brewers made an out. Jackson Chourio and Brice Turang singled to open the inning, then William Contreras sent a three-run home run down the left-field line to put Milwaukee ahead 3-0.

Sal Frelick added a sacrifice fly later in the inning, and the Brewers were up 4-0 after the first. Andrew Vaughn kept the inning moving in the second, doubling and driving in Contreras for a 5-0 lead.

Henderson Handles Ohtani

Henderson started against Justin Wrobleski and worked through the first inning without giving up damage. He walked Shohei Ohtani on five pitches, then struck out Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman to keep the Dodgers off the board.

The Brewers also won a challenge on a stolen-base call against Ohtani, another early play that kept the pressure on Los Angeles. Henderson and the bullpen then held the Dodgers to one run, limiting any chance of a rally after the fast start.

Milwaukee Keeps Its Run

The win was Milwaukee’s ninth consecutive regular-season game against the Dodgers. That streak came against the defending World Series champions and continued a long regular-season hold that has made these meetings look different from the games that fall outside league play.

For Milwaukee, the takeaway was simple: a four-run first inning, another run in the second, and enough pitching to turn an early lead into a finished result. For Los Angeles, the first two innings again did the damage before Wrobleski settled in later, but the scoreboard was already tilted heavily toward the Brewers.
