Smoke advice in east Belfast
The smoke warning gives people in the area the most immediate step to take: stay away from the site and shut windows and doors. The fire service has not said whether the blaze was started deliberately.
For anyone nearby, the practical issue is access and smoke, not the bonfire site itself. Crews remain on scene while the incident is dealt with.
