South Central Texas faces tornado warning as Kens 5 Weather tracks storms

The flood watch covered San Antonio and the Hill Country, west along Hwy 90 to Del Rio, through Wednesday morning. Wednesday’s forecast called for variably cloudy skies, a 40% chance of rain, high temperatures of 81 to 85 degrees and southeast winds at 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday’s forecast called for partly sunny skies, a 20% chance of rain, high temperatures of 86 to 90 degrees and east-southeast winds at 5 to 10 mph. For readers in the warned areas, the immediate concern is the short window between the tornado warning, the overnight flash flood warning and the longer flood watch that extends into Wednesday morning.
