Hazlewood's RCB Beat Gujarat Titans by 92 Runs in Ipl Match

Royal Challengers Bengaluru won this ipl match by 92 runs, beating Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 to move straight into the final. They posted 5-254 after being put in to bat, then cut Gujarat down to 8-88 before the last over finished the chase that never really got moving.

Rajat Patidar did the damage first with 93 not out from 33 balls. Virat Kohli added 43 and Krunal Pandya made 43 off 28, giving RCB the kind of total that let their bowlers attack from the start.

Patidar's innings was the fastest route to control. He kept the innings moving even as Kohli supplied the early anchor and Krunal followed with a brisk middle-overs burst, leaving Gujarat with no clean spell to slow the rate.

RCB were already in charge before the innings ended, and that pressure carried straight into the field. Gujarat were asked to chase 255 and never found a stable partnership long enough to make the target realistic.

Hazlewood breaks Buttler

Josh Hazlewood took the wicket that split Gujarat's best counterattack. Jos Buttler had struck 29 off 10 balls when Hazlewood removed him, a moment that shut down the one aggressive burst that had briefly threatened to alter the chase.

That dismissal sat in the middle of a disciplined bowling effort. Rasikh Dar delivered a double-wicket maiden in the first six overs, Jacob Duffy finished with 3-39, and Gujarat were reduced to 8-88 before being dismissed in the last over.

Gujarat Titans face Friday

Rahul Tewatia's 68 off 43 gave Gujarat their only substantial resistance, but it came too late to reshape the match. Tim David sealed the result with a sprawling catch running around from mid off, finishing a night that sent RCB to Sunday's final in Ahmedabad.

For Gujarat, the route is still open but narrower. They will play the winner of Wednesday's eliminator on Friday for another chance to reach the final, while RCB move on with the cleaner path that comes from winning Qualifier 1 outright.
