Corman Park police handle emergency landing near Saskatoon after fuel exhaustion — Weather Saskatoon
Corman Park police and the RCMP responded Tuesday evening to a reported crash northwest of Saskatoon after Nav Canada notified them about a small plane on a gravel road near Lutheran Road and Range Road 3072. Officers later determined the aircraft had run out of gas, lost engine power and landed safely instead of crashing.
Corman Park and RCMP Response
Police said the plane made the emergency landing on a rural road northwest of the city, and nobody was injured. The aircraft was not damaged, and the pilot was able to land it safely on the road before help arrived.
Lutheran Road and Range Road 3072
The first report sent responders to the area of Lutheran Road near Range Road 3072 after Nav Canada flagged a potential crash. That call brought in both Corman Park police and the RCMP, but officers found fuel exhaustion rather than impact damage. The plane was refuelled and returned to its departure airport.
Transportation Safety Board Notice
Investigators said the Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified. The incident began as an apparent crash report, but the final account was a fuel-related emergency landing with no injuries, no damage and the aircraft back at its airport after refuelling.
