Harvey Harrison Returns After 671 Days for Collingwood Vs Bulldogs
Harvey Harrison is back in Collingwood’s senior mix after 671 days out, with the club naming four inclusions for collingwood vs bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night. The Round 12 team sheet also brings Tim Membrey back and leaves the Pies with fresh forward and midfield options before a home game in Melbourne.
Harrison Returns to Marvel Stadium
Saturday will mark 671 days since Harrison’s last match at senior level. The 22-year-old forward-midfielder injured his ACL in Collingwood’s VFL match in Round 20, 2024, then missed the entirety of 2025 before returning through the VFL this season.
His path back has been built in steps, not one leap. Harrison was drafted with pick 52 in the 2021 National Draft, played 12 AFL games in 2024 and kicked 11 goals, including two bags of three goals against Fremantle and Melbourne.
Membrey Back After Hamstring Injury
Tim Membrey is also in line to return after recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained in Round 7’s win over Essendon. He got back through the VFL last week, which puts another established forward into Collingwood’s mix for a match that will ask for scoring support around the ground.
Angus Anderson and Wil Parker complete the four inclusions after both were omitted last week. Anderson was the carry-over emergency for the AFL team last week, while Parker responded in the VFL loss to Werribee with 22 disposals.
Collingwood Losses for Round 12
The changes come with several senior names out. Jamie Elliott will miss the clash with a knee injury, captain Darcy Moore is sidelined by a hamstring injury, and Will Hayes will miss through a shoulder injury. Charlie West has been omitted, with West, Buller and midfielder Sam Swadling named as the emergencies for Saturday night.
That leaves Collingwood with a new look for Western Bulldogs v Collingwood at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne, Wurundjeri, at 7:35pm AEST on Saturday 30 May. The return of Harrison gives the Pies a player who has already shown AFL scoring touch, while the absence of Elliott and Moore forces the club to shuffle around those senior roles immediately.
