Phoenix crash reopens I-17 northbound near Bethany Home Road

The crash was reported early Saturday morning in central Phoenix on the northbound lanes of I-17 near Bethany Home Road. At least one person was taken to the hospital, and the person's current condition was not known at the time of the report.
The closure lasted for several hours before the northbound lanes reopened shortly before 7 a.m. Southbound traffic was unaffected.
For drivers using that stretch of freeway, the lane opening ended the main disruption and restored the northbound route through central Phoenix. The remaining work belongs to investigators and tow crews, who are still dealing with the crash scene and the damaged vehicles.
