Brad Arthur Signs Through 2028 With Leeds Rhinos
Brad Arthur has committed his future to Leeds Rhinos for two more seasons, keeping brad arthur at the club until the end of the 2028 season. The extension ends speculation over a possible return to the NRL and gives Leeds continuity after a strong rise midway through 2026.
Arthur Stays At Leeds
I am really pleased to extend my time with Leeds Rhinos, Arthur said, adding that he felt the passion across the club from players, staff and supporters from the moment he arrived. He also pointed to the structure around him, saying the club has put a process in place to bring through the best young talent.
Arthur arrived midway through the 2024 campaign, and Leeds were atop the Super League ladder midway through the 2026 season when the new deal was set. That trajectory is the backdrop to the extension: the club has gone from a coaching change in the middle of a campaign to locking in the same man through 2028.
Blease Backs The Extension
Ian Blease said the announcement was hugely important for Leeds Rhinos and described Arthur as a coach who has brought outstanding leadership, professionalism and clarity to the rugby programme. Blease said Arthur had earned the respect of everyone across the organisation through his work ethic, standards and commitment to improving the team every day.
He also said there is a shared belief about where the club is heading and that securing Arthur's future will let Leeds keep building a squad capable of challenging for major honours. Leeds have spent the middle of 2026 sitting at the top of the ladder, and the deal signals the club wants that position to be backed by stability as much as form.
Leeds Keep Their Coach
Arthur's comments tied the contract to more than his own future. We have put a process in place to bring through the best young talent, and I am looking forward to seeing that flourish in the years ahead, he said, while also praising the coaching, conditioning and medical staff who he said are committed to the club for the future.
He added that he has enjoyed every aspect of being part of Leeds Rhinos and is excited by what the team can achieve together over the coming years. For Leeds, the practical outcome is simple: the coach who arrived midway through 2024 is now locked in through 2028, with the club's push for major honours built around the same voice in charge.
