Pratt narrows lead to 1% in La Mayor Race Results Spencer Pratt

La mayor race results spencer pratt showed a tighter race on Saturday evening, when the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder said Spencer Pratt led Nithya Raman by 1% in the Los Angeles mayor’s race. Pratt was at 27.3% to Raman’s 26.2% with 78% of the votes counted.

Pratt had held a nearly 6% lead over Raman on Thursday, so the latest count shows the gap shrinking as additional ballots were processed. Karen Bass had already been projected earlier this week to advance to the runoff and would face either Raman or Pratt in November.

California Governor Primary

The Los Angeles race was moving at the same time as California’s governor’s primary, which remained unresolved on Sunday morning. CBS News projected on Friday that Xavier Becerra had advanced to the general election, after Steve Hilton had led since polls closed on Tuesday and then fell behind in the latest results.

Hilton said Tuesday night, “We’re not there yet, but it’s looking good,” and added, “It looks very much like Californians really will have the chance to vote for change in November and take our state in a new direction.” Tom Steyer was in third place, and California’s top-two primary system sends the two highest vote-getters to November regardless of party affiliation.

For Pratt and Raman, the practical next step is simple: more ballots still have to be counted before the final order is settled. Until then, the margin sits at 1%, with the runoff field still in play.
