Clint Harp Announces Couch Pod as New Podcast Project

Clint Harp Announces Couch Pod as New Podcast Project

clint harp is launching a new podcast with his wife Kelly. On Friday, June 5, he said the series will be called Couch Pod, adding another media project to the former Fixer Upper star’s schedule.

"We like to talk. On the couch. A lot," he wrote alongside a short video clip from a recent recording. The post also laid out the scrappy setup: "Produced – by us. Cameras – us…meaning our phones. Sound – us…like we know what we’re doing. Editing – sure, us, why not. Convo- us again."

Kelly Harp Joins Couch Pod

The announcement matters because Harp has already worked across television and audio, and Couch Pod extends that run with Kelly as a co-host. He rose to fame alongside Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines on Fixer Upper, later hosted Restoration Road With Clint Harp on Magnolia Network, and previously led the Man Unmade podcast.

That earlier podcast had a sharply different framing, describing itself as "Normalizing the authority and power of women’s voices in a man’s ear… Clint puts himself in the place of student as he listens and learns from the stories and experiences of women." Its guest list included Kristen Kish, Jen Hatmaker, and Laverne Cox, but it has not released a new episode since June 2021.

Restoration Road After 2024

Restoration Road launched in 2021 and ran for five seasons, following Harp as he traveled the country in search of some of the oldest, most beautiful structures still standing today. No new episodes have aired since 2024, and there have been no official reports that the series was canceled.

Harp’s latest move fits a career that has already shifted more than once. After closing Harp Design Co. in Waco, Texas, in January 2023, he pivoted to real estate, then re-entered the public conversation through another podcast launch. Couch Pod gives him a fresh format without asking audiences to wait on a television greenlight.

June 5 Instagram Post

"More to come, love Kelly and Clint. #CouchPod," he wrote, which makes this less like a one-off tease and more like the start of a rollout. For listeners who followed Man Unmade or watched Restoration Road, the immediate next step is simple: watch for the first Couch Pod episode and see how much of the Harps’ on-couch conversation turns into a regular series.
