Megan Thee Stallion, EJAE Drive DNA for Ejae World Cup

FIFA released the ejae world cup anthem “DNA” on Wednesday, June 10, bringing Megan Thee Stallion, David Guetta, Andrea Bocelli and HUNTR/X’s EJAE onto one track. The release lands one day before the tournament kicks off, turning the song into part of the opening-week rollout rather than a side project.

EJAE in Korean

EJAE wrote Korean lyrics for “DNA,” and that is the sharpest creative detail in the release. “It’s especially meaningful because I was able to write Korean lyrics in the song—representing South Korea on this stage is such an honor,” she said. For a World Cup anthem built to travel globally, that choice gives the song a specific national thread instead of a generic international gloss.

June 11 Kickoff

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to kick off on June 11, with 48 teams in the field. That timeline makes “DNA” a launch piece for the tournament week, not a late promotional add-on, and it gives FIFA a single track to push as the competition begins to dominate attention.

David Guetta helms the dance-heavy production, while FIFA paired him with artists from rap, opera and pop-adjacent territory in Megan Thee Stallion, Andrea Bocelli and EJAE. Bocelli said, “The title of the song ‘DNA,’ says everything,” and added, “Football has been in my life for as long as I can remember and will always hold a very special place in my heart. To be invited to sing the anthem of the FIFA World Cup and to participate in the opening ceremony is an honor that moves me deeply.”

Seoul to New Jersey

EJAE also tied the release back to the 2002 World Cup, when she was in Seoul and watched the city unite. “One of my favorite childhood memories is being in Seoul during the 2002 World Cup, and seeing the city unite,” she said. “I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing strangers on the street hug each other and celebrate.”

The anthem now sits inside a crowded tournament calendar that begins on June 11, sends the United States against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday night, June 12, and runs to the final in July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. That makes “DNA” the earliest widely marketable piece of the event’s identity, the sort of song FIFA can thread through opening-ceremony coverage, match buildup and highlight packages as the month unfolds.
