Salad And Go will close all 70 drive-thru locations on Wednesday after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The shutdown ends service in Arizona and Nevada and follows earlier cuts in Texas and Oklahoma. For customers and workers, the chain’s move turns a gradual pullback into a full exit.

Mike Tattersfield, the CEO of Salad And Go, called it “a painful day for everyone who built, worked for and loved Salad and Go,” in a statement on Tuesday. He added: “Our mission was brought to life every day by an extraordinary team and embraced by guests who made us part of their routines.”
“We are proud of what we built together and grateful to every team member, guest and partner who believed in it,” Tattersfield said. Salad And Go opened in Gilbert in 2013, then built a drive-thru model that reached 70 locations before this week’s closure.

70 drive-thru locations are affected, all in Arizona and Nevada. That count matters because it captures the full footprint that is now being wound down, not just one underperforming market or a small cluster of stores.
January brought the first broad retreat, when Salad And Go closed all locations in Texas and Oklahoma. September 2025 added another cut, when the company said it was closing more than 40 stores across the country. By Tuesday, the final step was a permanent shutdown.
Chapter 11 bankruptcy pressure
Chapter 11 bankruptcy gives a company a court-supervised process to reorganize, but Salad And Go said it could not overcome sustained pressure on consumer demand, past strategic growth challenges and rising costs. The company also said the July Cyclospora outbreak weakened confidence across the industry and compounded those pressures.
That mix left the chain with customer support it described as strong, yet not enough to offset the cost and demand pressures that followed it through the year. For customers, Wednesday is the last day to use the remaining stores; for employees and creditors, the filing starts the next business process, but the company has not laid out further terms in this announcement.
