Police investigate crash at Sherwood Forest Mall after 7:40 a.m. collision
A vehicle crashed into sherwood forest mall in northwest London on Friday morning, leaving a large hole in the west side of the building. Police said multiple injuries were reported, and a number of people were taken to hospital by paramedic services.
Emergency crews were called around 7:40 a.m. to the mall near Gainsborough Road and Wonderland Road North. Yellow police tape cordoned off part of the parking lot while emergency personnel worked at the site.

Staff Sgt. Maria Wright said the vehicle was still inside when she spoke at the shopping centre. She added, “We’re still investigating the cause and status of injured parties.”
Police later said, “Multiple injuries have been reported and a number of individuals have been transported to hospital by paramedic services.” They also said, “We ask the public to avoid the area while emergency personnel carry out their work.”

The crash left a large hole in the brick wall on the rear of the building, according to police. Their Friday morning social media update placed the crash at the shopping centre in the area of Gainsborough Road and Wonderland Road North at about 8:30 a.m.
Wright said officers were still working to determine what caused the crash and the condition of the injured people. Police also said further updates would be provided as information becomes available, leaving anyone heading to the mall to route around the taped-off section until crews clear the scene.
