John Fanta Leads Ot7 Football to NBC and Peacock Debut in Los Angeles
ot7 football is on NBC and Peacock for the first time this weekend, with championship coverage airing live from Sullivan Field at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. The fifth-season event begins Saturday at 2 p.m. ET with the finals, then continues Sunday at 2 p.m. ET with the championship game.
Sullivan Field in Los Angeles
John Fanta handles play-by-play for the weekend alongside analyst Kieran Hickey-Semple, while former USC and Vanderbilt quarterback Mo Hasan and Overtime Chief Growth Officer Tom Weingarten report from the field across both days. That puts a national broadcast team on a stage that had been built around high school talent, not just the final score.
Eight teams are in the bracket: C1N, Wunna Warriors, Raw Miami, Lo-Pro, Cold Hearts, SFE, Cali Power and Trillion Boys. C1N is coached by 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton, while Wunna Warriors was founded and is coached by Grammy-nominated artist Gunna.
Recruits Driving OT7
The roster of prospects is the other hook. Organizers expect 19 five-star recruits, 68 four-star recruits and 48 three-star recruits in Los Angeles, a concentration that gives the weekend a recruiting edge far beyond a typical 7v7 showcase.
That list lands against a wider Overtime footprint that already reaches more than 115 million global followers and produces more than 150 pieces of original content each week. NBC Sports and Overtime also announced in April a programming, distribution and sales partnership covering OT7 and the Navy All-American Bowl.
OT7 Alumni on Bigger Stages
The pro pipeline is already visible. Three former OT7 participants went in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft: Carnell Tate went No. 4 overall to the Tennessee Titans, Makai Lemon went No. 20 overall to the Philadelphia Eagles and KC Concepcion went No. 24 overall to the Cleveland Browns.
OT7 alumni also include Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, Oregon quarterback Dante Moore and Houston quarterback commit Keisean Henderson, who is the No. 1 player in the class of 2026 and the first underclassman named MVP of the Navy All-American Bowl. NBC Sports and Overtime added another piece to that pipeline on June 8 by announcing plans to select the inaugural Girls Flag Football All-American Team, and selected players will appear during national broadcasts of the Navy All-American Bowl and the OT7 Championship.
