New Lotto game gives players two chances to win — Lotto Results 13 June 2026

Tickets for lotto results 13 june 2026 are now on sale as the National Lottery switches Lotto to a two-round format for the same £2 line price. The first draw under the new system is due on Wednesday, with players getting two chances to win from one ticket.

Andy Carter on the £2 line

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, said: “This is a huge moment for players as we enter a new era for the nation’s millionaire maker, Lotto.” He added: “From now on, every ticket gives you two chances to win for the same £2 price. We’re talking more winners, more excitement and hundreds more millionaires made every year. It really could be you – not once, but twice.”

The format keeps the basic play intact. Players still pick six numbers from 59 balls, and they do not have to change how they enter. The draw now runs in two rounds, with two sets of six main numbers and a bonus ball drawn using two separate machines, so a single line can win in one round, the other, or both.

Wednesday and Saturday at 8pm

The Lotto draw schedule remains fixed at every Wednesday and Saturday evening at 8pm, but the prize path is being widened. Players can still win by matching two or more main numbers in one round, while jackpot winners get at least £1 million when they match all six main numbers or a fixed £1 million for five main numbers plus the bonus ball.

Jackpots will start at £2 million and can roll over five times before a must-be-won draw on the sixth. All other prize tiers will stay as fixed cash prizes paid per round, and the Lotto HotPicks add-on will also move to the new two-round format while keeping its £1 price.

Great Yarmouth and Aylesbury sales

The first retail ticket was bought by a player in Great Yarmouth at 5.01am on Sunday for next Saturday’s draw, while the first online purchase came from a player in Aylesbury. That early demand gives the relaunch an immediate read on customer take-up before Wednesday’s first two-round draw.

Allwyn says the updated game is expected to lift annual Lotto millionaires from around 140 to about 345 and improve the odds of winning a prize from 1-in-9.3 to 1-in-4.9. Chris and Geraldine Bradley, who won £3.5 million in 2006 and appear in the National Lottery’s It Could Be You ad, said: “We know first-hand just how life-changing a Lotto win can be. That’s why this new format is so exciting – giving players two chances to win from a single ticket means more opportunities for that same incredible moment. It’s fantastic to see even more people getting the chance to become millionaires.”
