Three More Charged Over Ibrox Breach Of The Peace, Arrests Reach 40

Three more men have been arrested and charged after the breach of the peace linked to the Rangers and Celtic Scottish Cup match at Ibrox on March 8. The total number of arrests has now reached 40 as police continue to deal with the disorder from that night.

Ibrox arrests reach 40

The three men are aged 39, 38 and 28. They face charges including assault, possessing an offensive weapon, culpable and reckless conduct and breach of the peace, and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court in due course.

Fans clashed on the field after Celtic knocked Rangers out of the Scottish Cup on penalties at Ibrox. That match has stayed at the center of the police response because the arrests have kept coming long after the final whistle.

Police CCTV appeals continue

Officers are still appealing for anyone who recognises people in CCTV images to get in touch. Police can be contacted on 101, and information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The new charges add to a case built around one match and one disorder episode, with the arrest count now at 40. For anyone caught in the CCTV appeal, the remaining route is straightforward: call 101 or use 0800 555 111 if they can identify anyone from the images.
