Steven Keates Forecasts 27C Heat for Coventry on Sunday — Weather Coventry
weather coventry turns much warmer from Friday, June 12, with Coventry and Warwickshire set for 26C on Saturday and 27C on Sunday. The Met Office says the hot spell will last well into the following week at least, after a short run of showery and unsettled weather.
Steven Keates and 27C
Steven Keates, deputy chief meteorologist, said: "From this weekend the UK forecast will have a distinctly warmer and drier component with a prolonged spell of above-average temperatures, with values in some locations quite likely to reach 27 to 29C, with the potential for higher values than this." Coventry and Warwickshire are among the places forecast to reach 26C on Saturday, June 13, before 27C on Sunday, June 14.
That rise follows temperatures starting to increase on Friday, June 12, when the local forecast still includes sunshine and blustery showers. The maximum temperature is set to reach 17C on one day mentioned in the forecast, with a minimum of 7C overnight.

The local forecast also says showers could turn heavy in places, with an isolated chance of thunder in the north of the region. Cloudy conditions with showery outbreaks of rain are expected the following morning, and a spell of wet and windy weather moves in for Thursday.
Friday is expected to be largely cloudy with patchy rain before high pressure develops from Saturday, bringing sunny spells and rising temperatures. For people planning outdoor work, travel, or weekend events, the change is mainly the timing: the warmest stretch begins after the unsettled spell, then lasts beyond Sunday.
Weekend warmth in Coventry
By Sunday, the forecast puts Coventry at 27C, with the wider region also under the same warm pattern. The main practical shift is a run of above-average temperatures that starts at the end of the week and carries on into next week, giving the city several days to move from rain and cloud to sunshine and heat.
